I have started to pair down my images. Right now I'm sitting at forty-eight that have made the initial cut. I'm now seeing what ones best fit into a visual storyline. I have uploaded a new web gallery with all my first choice images. If you have any suggestions on what images work or don't work please post your thoughts, thanks.
I'm going to make suggestions for you. Overall this is a great story. I went through them several times and here is my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteImages 5-30 seem to be one project and the rest another. Personally I think the outdoor project is much stronger.
Out of the indoor project photos #14 has a little tension where his head meets the mold in the background. #24 and #25 are both similar so I would remove 24 because 25 seems stronger to me.
For the outdoor project I would do some re-ordering to make it flow better visually. First #42 and #43 both show the finished projects size but 42 is a better shot of it in my opinion so I would remove #43. Also #4 has a distracting out of focus bright green pin in the foreground so if you keep that image I would maybe desaturate and darken it a little.
Here's what I was thinking for the order of the outdoor project. 1-4 in the studio show the smaller scaled design so put them first with the one here in the blog as the first one. Then the construction ones (33, 34, 36, 37, 39, 40, 41, and 44-48) and then end with the finished product in this order (31, 42, 35, 32, and 38). Maybe some reordering in the construction section but I didn't get into that part of it yet.
Just my thoughts.
